Good morning fellow electricity enthusiasts. Under what circumstances can the 90º C column of Table 310.16 be used? I am finding it very common and concerning that contractors think they can use this column at face value. Thanks in advance, Clay Lloyd

Hello Clay, thanks for participating in the CQD. Section 110.14(C) provides guidance on the application of the temperature columns in Table 310.16. The conductor insulation temperature rating is one piece, but the termination equipment temperature rating will also impact which temperature column is used.
