Question:

Good Day CQD.

When installing 12 meter bases for an apartment complex having a 100-amp disconnect for each meter base, do you have to have 1 means of disconnect?

Answer:

Hello Bobby!

Thanks for participating. Based on the information provided, a single service disconnect (main) would be required to meet the provisions of Section 230.71. Since the number of 100-ampere disconnects for the apartments is 12, the 6-disconnect rule is exceeded.
