Question:
Hello CQD,
Thanks for your valued information. I'm converting my house to PEX for my water lines. So I was wondering if I could run my grounding electrode conductor from the service panelboard to a ground rod and then run a bonding jumper from the rod to my water main?
Thanks,
Scott Peck

Answer:
Hi Scott, The method mentioned for installing a grounding electrode conductor and bonding jumper between electrodes is acceptable by the NEC, but the sizing must meet the requirements in 250.66, 250.68(C), and 250.53(C).
