Would the location of the EMT piping be considered a wet location and therefor require the EMT to need a coating ?

Hey Jon thanks for your follow up question. The inside of the block wall described would likely not be considered a wet location based on the definition of Location, Wet in Article 100. Besides that, EMT (electrical metallic tubing) is permitted in wet locations as stated in in 358.10(A)(2) and steel EMT is required to have a protective coating as stated in 358.100(1). EMT is typically galvanized with a zinc coating.
