Question:
Hello CQD.
As a homeowner, can I extend a circuit to the bathroom for a bidet? the location of the existing outlet is back to back with the living room.
Damon Barnett
A
Answer:
Hello Damon,
Section 210.11(C)(3) indicates that In addition to the number of branch circuits required by other parts of this section, at least one or more 120-volt, 20-ampere branch circuits shall be provided to supply the bathroom(s) receptacle outlet(s) required by 210.52(D) and any countertop and similar work surface receptacle outlets. Such circuits shall have no other outlets. This appears to create a restriction that the bedroom receptacle outlets are connected to the bathroom receptacle being installed for the bidet.
