Question:
Greetings,
If I'm installing conductors for a larger feeder in parallel, do all the phase conductors and neutral conductors have to be the same length?
Thanks.
Arnold Simms
A
Answer:
Hello Arnold,
Thanks for the comments. The rules for installing conductors in parallel are provided in Section 310.10(G) of the 2020 NEC. Conductors are generally installed in parallel to create one larger conductor. These conductor installed in parallel to create one larger conductor have to meet the requirements in 310.10(2). The different phase conductors and neutral conductor of the same parallel arrangement do not have to all be the same length. Hope this is useful.
