Question:
Is a separate ground wire required for each two wire 120 volt circuit in a conduit that contains multiple circuits?
Rick Hellwig
A
Answer:
Hey Rick thanks for your question. No, a single equipment grounding conductor is allowed for multiple circuits in the same raceway, cable or cable tray as stated in 250.122(C). The equipment grounding conductor is sized based on the largest overcurrent device used to protect any of the ungrounded conductors in the raceway.
