The 2021 edition on NFPA 70E is currently in development. NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace provides essential requirements for safe electrical work practices to protect personnel by reducing exposure to major electrical hazards. NFPA 70E helps employers and employees avoid workplace injuries and fatalities due to shock, electrocution, arc flash, and arc blast, and assists in complying with OSHA 1910 Subpart S and OSHA 1926 Subpart K. This standard applies directly to employers (electrical contractors) and employees (electrical workers). NECA and IBEW have a significant stake in this standard.
