Hello CQD,

My question relates to the requirements in NEC 110.26. Can the working space about an electrical panel be sloped. If the working space can be sloped, what maximum slope is considered acceptable?

Greetings Shon,

Thanks for participating. The NEC is silent on whether or not the floor or working platform in the required working space needs to be level, or can be sloped, as you say. This is a good opportunity to submit a Public Input to add language that addresses this situation. We believe that installers should, as far as practical work to achieve a floor or working platform in the working space that is flat and level, as much as possible.
