Question:

Hello,

It is possible to use an EMT threaded coupling in a conduit body? Or the threaded female entry of the conduit body is only for threaded IMC or RMC ?

Answer:

Hi Diego,

It's probably possible to spin a threaded EMT connector into a conduit body, but it may or may not be acceptable. The uses of conduit bodies on conduit or tubing are really addressed in the installation instructions for each of those materials. NEC 110.3(B) indicates that equipment be installed in accordance with the installation instructions, which also could include limits or prohibited use. The UL product IQ information could also provide use allowances for these types of equipment based how the listed equipment was evaluated and tested.
