In regards to the answer to CQotD on May 2, 2019, the GFCI requirement found in 210.8 is triggered by the RECEPTACLE RATING to ground and NOT the BRANCH CIRCUIT rating to ground. The intent is exactly as you described but the actual wording for the requirement does not actually require what was intended.

Hey Jeff thanks for your comment. Our wording was " single phase receptacles up to 50 ampere that are 150 volts or less to ground" which did not include the word "rating" as you point out. Presently the rule in 210.8(B) uses the phrase "receptacle rating to ground" but that is being fixed for the 2020 NEC to more appropriately use the phrase "branch circuits rated 150 volts or less to ground". As pointed out by several submitters receptacles are often rated by their phase to phase voltage.
