Question:
A junction box exists in a wall, with wire nuts connecting wires from panel to end point. Does this box have to have an exposure cover and why?
Iris Ziller
A
Answer:
Hey Iris thanks for your question. Yes, the wiring in boxes must be accessible, without removing any part of a building or structure, as stated in 314.29. Why is because the wiring might need to be repaired or replaced so requiring access is appropriate.
