Hey Travis thanks for your question. The NEC does not provide a specific limit of how many cables or raceways can be supported by a ceiling tie wire. Tie wires that are distinguishable and are in addition to those used to support the suspended ceiling can be used to support wiring methods as stated in 300.11(B). MC cable must be secured and supported as stated in 330.30.
The weight that can be supported depends on the wire gauge, fasteners, and what it is attached to, usually with safety factors applied. That information is available from the wire manufacturer and industry trade associations. Besides the weight limitation the installation should be done in a manner that does not distort the ceiling system. If you have any doubt that there might too many cables check with the AHJ before installing them.
