Question:

680.25(A)(1) Ex. Had a question ask of me concerning a feeder to a pool panel, what I discovered is I have three code books that do not have the exception and two that do??? Also our handbook does not have the exception?? Have you had this brought to your attention?? It is an important change in the 2014!!!!!

Answer:

Hey Thomas thanks for your question. NFPA typically has several printings of the NEC. Inside the front cover of the 2017 edition there is a series of numbers, the last one is the printing version. If you compare those numbers in your books the two that have the exception should be a later printing. NFPA includes errata (items that did not get printed correctly) in subsequent editions.

A good way to keep aware of the latest information including Tentative Interim Amendments and Errata is by checking the web site at:
