Question:
If you run a subfeed from your house to a detached work shed overhead do you need an insulated ground or do you pickup the ground via a ground rod at the work shed location
Michael Csizmar
A
Answer:
Hey Michael thanks for your question. An equipment grounding conductor is required to be run with the supply conductors to buildings or structures and must be connected to the grounding electrode(s) as stated in 250.32(B)(1). In general equipment grounding conductors can be bare, covered or insulated as stated in 250.118(1).
